Full album gigs are as i've previously said are a bit of an anomaly, we know the running order and set before the gig losing a bit of that mystery. Tonight, however, this really didn't matter.  The K's, hailing from Earlestown and cutting their teeth in the vibrant indie scene of Warrington, have been making waves with their electrifying performances and raw, gritty indie rock sound so this Homecoming show was alway going to be a celebration being the night before this week's album chart is released and with The K`s currently sat at number 2 midweek behind The Libertines. No support tonight apart from a dj, who to his credit got the crowd nicely warmed up with a plethora of indie classic sing-alongs. A sold out crowd loving the mix of old and new anthems. It is a very friendly crowd, nobody is alone at a K`s gig.

The lights dimmed and the orchestrated intro to opener `Icarus` was met with an appreciative roar. `Heart on my sleeve` followed, with the fans in full voice. The lads are in fine form, hopefully shrugging off their bouts of illness over the last few days. The album is a superb slice of gritty, well written indie rock but this is taken to another level live. `Chancer` gets the crowd jumpin, A raucous `Throw it all away` was quickly followed by another old fan favorite `Hometown`. Slowing the set down for the heartfelt `Hoping Maybe` dedicated to Warrington teenager Millie Bristow, who sadly passed away earlier in the year. adding a poignant moment to the evening, showcasing the band's connection to their community and the deeper emotions woven into their music.

It feels like that final push for the coveted number one album. Someone who knows that feeling is sitting in the balcony, a few fans spotted indie pop darling Thom Rylance watching from the seats, great to see bands supporting each other. `Who has listened to the album then, what's the next track` shouts Jamie, `black and blue` is the response, even though it's only been out a few days we know the running order. That being said, I was wondering how they would finish the gig seeing the last track is the haunting piano track `Valley one` Jamie explained the contractual requirements for album run through gigs and it felt like that was the last song until he cheekily added, this track`s on the deluxe version so we can get away with it before a blistering version of fan favorite `Sarajevo`

I wonder if the world knows? Well if there is any justice after this week the world will know that, as their fans know. The K’s are on fire
